Acupuncture & Aesthetic Services
We offer acupuncture, cosmetic acupuncture, microneedling, cupping, gua sha, ear seeds, herbal therapies, and food therapy to help our patients feel healthy inside and out. We use these tools on the face to target specific skin concerns such as blemishes or fine lines and wrinkles while doing the same to the body to work on stress, symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression, digestive issues, muscle tension, and more. Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the insertion of single-use sterile needles into various acupuncture points across the body. Acupuncture points stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system along with the body's natural healing abilities to promote physical and emotional well-being.
Cupping
Cupping is wonderful TCM therapy. A vacuum is created inside a glass cup with fire. The cup is then promptly put on the skin. The suction between the cup and the skin decompresses muscles and connective tissue which promotes blood flow, enhances circulation and helps to increase the body's own healing processes.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is a traditional practice part of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a medical modality that comes from Traditional Chinese Medicine. The practice of gua sha originated in the stone age and the history of gua sha is very well documented. It is used on the body to treat pain and febrile disease and can be used on the face for aesthetics purposes. We can use facial gua sha to bring more circulation to the face to enhance a natural glow and reduce puffiness, relieve tension in the face and jaw (from clenching or brow furrowing, for example), and to calm the spirit.
Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine is another key component of TCM. Chinese herbs come from the earth and are used in formulas to naturally treat many both internal and external health conditions while maintaining overall well-being and health. Chinese herbal medicine aims to return the body to a state of natural balance so that it can heal itself.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture boasts a wide range of benefits, including lifting and firming the skin, a reduction in acne and fine lines, as well as an improvement in overall skin texture. If you’re looking for a powerful treatment with a focus on graceful aging with minimal side effects, facial acupuncture may be the perfect solution.
Microneedling
Microneedling is the use of very small, single-use sterile needles to puncture the skin for facial rejuvenation. At Azalea, we use high-quality and mindfully crafted Chinese herbal serums with our microneedling treatments. When used with microneedling, the absorption of these products increases by 3000%. Our microneedling technique is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is a natural way to stimulate collagen production and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, skin texture, age spots, scars and more. Best results are seen from 1 treatment a month, for 3-6 months, repeating the treatment series every 1-3 years.
